HFL training on electronic resources: EEBO and Historical Newspapers

The History Faculty Library is running a couple of training courses on electronic resources which might be of interest to US Historians:

Discover Early English Books Online (EEBO)
Friday 17 June (week 7), 14:15-15:30 – BOOK HERE
EEBO is an important database of early printed books from 1475-1700. If you need tracts, texts and pamphlets written in Britain and colonial America in this time, then this hands-on session will show how to search, manipulate and print the text.

Join this session to get an introductory overview of the ProQuest Historical Newspapers database. This course covers the content, functions, and features of, as well as tips for using, ProQuest Historical Newspapers. US titles available via ProQuest include The New York Times (1851-2007), The Washington Post (1877-1994), The Chicago Defender (1910-1975), The New York Amsterdam News (1922-1993) and The Pittsburgh Courier (1911-2002).
